Restore Your Confidence
2017 has been very tough on me. Our sand business was very slow. Our construction business was basically almost 100% stopped. Almost... Our cosmetics business is low in stocks. Our principal created this magic serum called Age Reversist that made the whole world crazy. They basically have to hold the production of other products because the demand for Age Reversist is overwhelming. We've been hit with problems from left, right and centre. It's like being hit by a group of gangster. When you're down, the hits come even harder. There's also newbies that come and try to steal a few punches. Well, this is only little as compared to what actually happened though. With all the challenges that happened, I was actually thankful for 2017.
I manage to strengthen my relationship with my wife, my father, my mother, my father in law and my mother in law. Even though as family, we don't have much problem amongst us but there are things that we as family hide from each other. 2017 really open up my heart to love my family even more than before.
LITTLE THINGS MATTERS
2017 was also the year that make me realize how little things such as being thankful for the air you breathe. How this tiny particles of air means a lot to us. It teaches me that a simple "thank you" can go a very long way. I started to say thank you to my wife for all the things that she did to me. I came and visit my parents and thanked them for all the hard work that they did to raise me up to be who I am today. Can you believe that for the first time in my 31 years of being alive in this world, I cried to my dad? Why? Just because after 31 years that I realized that he sacrificed himself, his life and his fortune to raise me up. I mean, I know that before but REALIZING it is totally different. My dad was a very typical Malay father who don't have much emotion when dealing with their kids. You know... things like.."dah makan? Ok. bye" kinda thing. But when we look into what he has done for all these years, and I mean.. really LOOK INTO IT. Man... I don't know if I could be the tough person as he was. Such an inspiration.
SELF SABOTAGE
Often times when we do things and fail, we tend to find excuses to our failure. Why is this? Kenapa selalu cari alasan kalau kita gagal dalam sesuatu? Ramai orang, especially orang Melayu kita sangat baik hati. Hati yang bersih sangat. Bila kita gagal, diorang akan cakap...
"tak pe lah. it's ok. wanna go for coffee and talk it out?"
Tapi bila kita berjaya, diorang akan cakap...
"eleehhhh... dia tu boleh la capai macam tu. Dia ada tu... Dia ada ni... Boleh la..."
Orang kita dah terlalu biasa cakap bahasa macam ni. Mungkin dari turun temurun atok nenek kita macam tu. Actually, bila kita cakap macam ni, kita mengajar minda kita atau kita conditionkan minda kita untuk associate kejayaan dengan perkara yang sedih. Kita associatekan kegagalan dengan comfort. "Tak apalah" attitude. So, this is called self sabotage. Ramai orang tak berjaya sebab dia suka sabotage diri sendiri dengan benda-benda macam ni. Rugi je bapak hantar belajar kat sekolah. Bila dah besar, sabotage diri sendiri.
SELF CONFIDENCE
2017 was also the year that I learn a lot about self confidence. For example, 2017 was the year that I joined my wife's cosmetics company. If you asked me, I would never dream myself to be in a cosmetics business. That probably might be the last in my wish list. But throughout 2017, I learned a lot about self confidence. Throughout 2017, I learned to create my self confidence to be in a cosmetics business. It took the whole year. Yes it did. The learning curve from a non-cosmetics to cosmetics took the whole year. And I was glad it happened. I believe that this is the answer for my du'a in Makkah 1 year ago. So 2018 is all about restoring my confidence in this business. I believe FCC has a lot of potential and I'm excited to grow this brand to become the prominent Halal Cosmetics in Malaysia. 2018 will be FCC year. I'll make it happen. #Confident
