THREESOME IN BALI

There's a saying... you don't stop learning until the day you die. For awhile, I neglected the phrase. I would say, "I don't want to study forever. A Bachelor's Degree is enough. Then, I want to start working and making money." Well, it's true that human being don't know what they don't know. In Quran, Allah often uses the phrase "Allah is knowledgeable", "if only you (human) knows", "mereka adalah dikalangan orang yang rugi". Why Allah says this in His book? Why does He repeat it over and over again. If we understand who Allah is. Allah does not waste time. He won't do things that is not beneficial for Him. A great leader do not become great by wasting time. And Allah is the greatest of the greatest leader. It only make sense that He do things better then all of the greatest leader in this world. So, wasting time is not one of it. When wasting time is not one of it, then it means that every minute that we spent being alive in this world must be spent wisely. Then, barulah kata yang kita ni ikut cakap Tuhan. Betul ke betul?

Ever since I left college, I've been neglecting education. I stop reading. I stop educating myself. I stop learning. I came back to Malaysia thinking that I'm good enough. Maybe I'm too good until I don't deserve to work in a normal Malay companies. I deserve to work in a multi-national company that pays a big buck for my service and qualification. I don't deserve to be in a workplace that has financial restriction. I deserve to be in a workplace that has everything. My thoughts took me to a place where I was so arrogant, just because I studied in the USA. THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. Like I said earlier, people don't know what they don't know. By being arrogant, I was tested by Allah. I was tested with the pain of not having a job for 3 years. Well, I have some job here and there but nothing permanent. Interviews after interviews I've gone through. Local companies and multinational companies. Some interviews were already at a final stage. However, there are always things that hold them back from hiring me. THREE FREAKING YEARS JOBLESS. My arrogance was tested.

2017 was a change for me. In February, my lovely wife says that she's going for a 3-days course with Dr Azizan Osman. At first, I don't really care much. It'll be a waste of time. Going for a motivational course? 3 days? Why? But then, closer to the date, I asked her, "ape benda ni?" So, she explained that this is Dr Azizan Osman's class. Few of her friends are already in the class saying that this class is good. Some of them are doing business and their business grew. They are always doing something new. They grew their business from nothing to become one of the industry leader and already making millions of dollars. So, my wife wants to know. We've been doing business for 9 years but doesn't grow as much as our friends. We grow. But they grow exponentially. She wants to know why. At first, she was supposed to go with her brother. Then, a couple weeks ahead of the course I told her, can I join you? I don't know why I said that. I don't even know who is Dr Azizan Osman. I just saw his meme with the finger on his head and his name on Kelantan's Football team jersey. Other things that I heard was that viral thing saying that he's a cheater. Well, I don't know why those thing don't bother me. I just went and attend his class. It's called Intensif Magnet Kekayaan & Kejayaan (IMKK). Well, the course title is not too bad. I want to be rich. I want to be successful. So, the title itself interest me. Gives a good first impression for the course.

I attended IMKK.

It was mind blowing.

At first, I don't understand why everyone is shouting and jumping and dancing around. Apahal diorang ni? It was a shocking moment for me. I've been to a lot of entrepreneurial courses and non of them are like this. It's crazy.  There, I realized lots of things. Entrepreneurship is not only about business plan, marketing strategy, product development, and making money. It's a lot more than that. It's about self realization of how you benefit others. Simple yet so complicated. IMKK started with a phrase "sebaik-baik manusia adalah manusia yang memberi manfaat kepada orang lain". It's a hadith from our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). I've heard it so many times but I failed to realize how important this phrase is. I failed to realize that as human being, we are suppose to help others. As human beings, we are suppose to benefit others. I always want to do things that benefit me first. Which is actually a wrong way of doing things. There was a lot of self-realization moment that I had during IMKK. I found some light in life. I found something that was lost deep inside me. Alhamdulillah, ever since then I kept growing day by day. I keep learning and develop myself.

BALINESS AWESOMENESS

The last three days was a big "smack-on-you-face" moment for me. Dr Azizan held a meeting in Bali for his Titanium students. The meeting is called Inner Circle Meeting (ICM). Here, we can share with Dr. Azizan on our goals and roadblocks. We'll have a discussion on what we're doing right and what we're doing wrong. There's over 130 companies, entrepreneurs who are so successful in their businesses. There, I learn a lot from the basic self-realization to digitalization of the business. ICM gives me clarity in my business. ICM gives me direction of where my business should go. ICM gives me idea on what I did wrong and what I did right. ICM gives me strength to further push my business forward. And most importantly, ICM gives me a chance to network with over 130 companies, entrepreneurs, business owners, business managers who are in the same boat as I am. A boat towards success and more success.

In the past three days, we learned a combination of years of other people's experience. We learn their mistakes. We learn their success. We learn their hardship. We learn their tears. We learn why they do what they do and how they do it. While everybody have their own learning curve. I want to share mine. The last three days have so much input and data. Few points that I want to share are:

1. Stop doing things that are not important
We often want to do everything and everything. We want everything to be perfect in our own ways. We want to achieve the perfection in life. However, to achieve what we want to achieve, often times we overdo things. We start focusing on things that is not too important. We start to deviate from our initial goals. There, we'll lose focus. When we lose focus, we lose our direction. When we lose our direction, we lose our goals. So, stop doing things that are not important. Try to delegate and focus on the most important part of the business.

2. Train you mind
In this class, we were thought to train our mind to say "aha" every time we learn something new. Apparently a study was done saying that once our mind learn something new, we need to say "aha" in order for it to stick to our mind. There's a lot of "aha" moment for me which I will use to my benefit.

3. Choose the kind of "yes" and "no" in our lives
In life, we are often have to choose between "yes" and "no". Orang nak pinjam duit dari kita. Orang nak minta tolong kita buat itu dan ini. Banyak benda terjadi dalam hidup kita ni yang kita perlu buat keputusan. So, we have to decide the kind of "yes" and "no" so that we will focus on our target and our values. We cannot say yes to everything.

4. Don't blame others if you're not successful
Success is a hard work. If you're successful without hardwork, it means there are other people who works hard for you. Unless you were born as the son of Sultan of Brunei, you have to work for your success. There's no two way about it. Often times we blame others for our failure because blaming is easy. Success is hard. Simple example. If we want to lose weight but other people keep feeding us with the good food and we keep eating it. We cannot blame them for feeding us the good food. We blame ourselves for eating it. So if you're not successful, blame yourself.

5. You are good enough
Life as entrepreneur will push us towards abyss where we will feel lonely, failed in life, disappointed, and not good enough. We feel that whatever we've achieved are not enough. We have to achieve more. We are supposed to be at a higher level but we're not. We are supposed to be better but we're not. In the class, we learn that actually, we are better than before. We learn that we have achieved more than before. We learn that we are not a failure. We learn that we are good enough. We learn that self-realization is important in order to move us from our current place to a better place.

There's a lot more that I've learn throughout this three awesome days in Bali with Dr Azizan Osman. However, there's one more point that I get from this meeting. This point was not directly taught nor given by Dr. Azizan. This point hits me during my sharing session. It's THE MOST important point in life. It's THE MOST important lesson that I should have realized before but not. It's THE MOST important "why" for me. It's THE ONLY REASON WHY I'M HERE today. It's THE ONLY REASON why I achieved what I've achieved and I failed to achieve what I want to achieve. That point is so valuable and was in front of me all these while. I just didn't see it. What is it? Well, I will share it later.

I'd like to thank Dr. Azizan Osman for doing all these. I'd like to thank Richworks team for all the hardwork preparing for this meeting. I know handling events are not easy. Sleepless night. Hard labour works. Cash intensive. You guys are blessed. You guys don't know what you did is more than what it looks like. Whatever you guys are doing, it change lives. It changes perspective. It changes peoples. When it change people, it changes the community. When the community changed, it'll change the country. When the country change, it'll change the world. Thank you.
